Saturday Cat was the advertising mascot for Real Dairy Cream in the UK in the early '70s. While he isn't very well remembered today, he had about a decade long run that included print ads, TV spots, and store displays. But why is he called Saturday Cat? Well, the popular belief is that Saturday was when the milkman came around to collect payment and take orders for the coming week. Saturday Cat wears a milkman style cap, so we can only assume that he is kind of a walking, talking reminder to order up a bottle of real dairy cream, but the truth may just be lost to the sands of time.

Daily cats mood

A Hanna Barbera/Boomerang classic, alongside others like Magilla Gorilla, Hong Kong Phooey, or Huckleberry Hound. The Hillbilly Bears, played on a social stereotype of the "hillbilly", with a gun-toting, mumbling father Paw Rugg (voiced by Henry Corden) who was always "feudin'" (the "feudin'" was usually a lethargic operation, in which the protagonists fired the same bullet back and forth from the comfort of their rocking chairs) with their neighbors, the Hoppers.

The Great Grape Ape (voiced by Bob Holt) is a 40-foot purple gorilla with the mind of a child. His catch phrase is saying his name twice ("Grape Ape, Grape Ape") after anything anyone says, usually as a form of agreement or acknowledgement of what was said. He travels the countryside with his canine pal Beegle Beagle (voiced by Marty Ingels), whom he calls "Beegly Beagly". A classic Hanna Barbera and Boomerang Saturday morning cartoon.
